Tenn Street ART Contact: Sharon Meriash, 303.646.7187 or sharon@sharonmeriash.com The Artist: Tara Hornung has been working in traditional darkroom work, alternative photographic processes, and printmaking for almost 20 years. At present, her image making process begins with an exposure made on film with a Holga, a plastic, medium-format camera with an imprecise character that lends richness and ambiguity to the story of place. These exposures are further transformed by printing them in a traditional intaglio technique on the printing press. Tara’s profession as an art conservator has taken her worldwide to work as a steward of cultural heritage, and to develop her knowledge of artists’ materials and appreciation of ancient and historic craftsmanship.
