A Decade of Art, Poetry, Stickers & Spring in Full Bloom
April came in with laughs (literally - April Fools Day!), kept us fed with National Burrito Day, moved us with printmaking, and is closing out with one of the most fun pop-up events we've hosted in a while. 10 Years Print Show: A Decade of Artistic Excellence
The crown jewel of our April art calendar has been the continuation of our 10 Years Print Show: a milestone exhibition celebrating a full decade of fine art printmaking right here at Tenn Street Coffee & Books.
This exhibition has been on our walls since March 5th, and if you've visited anytime this month, you've experienced the incredible range of intaglio prints, screen prints, and more experimental fare from four artists who've become part of our gallery's history

Let that sink in for a moment. Kathie and Sasha have been part of this annual tradition since day one. Dawn and Mark have been showing for seven years. That kind of artistic dedication and commitment to a community space is rare, and it's something we don't take for granted.
What made this exhibition particularly special was watching customers discover the depth and versatility of printmaking as an art form. So many people walked in expecting simple prints and left with a completely new appreciation for the craft. The technical skill involved in intaglio alone—the etching, the inking, the pressure, the precision—is staggering. And then you see the experimental pieces that push those traditional boundaries into something entirely contemporary and surprising.
The show runs through April 24th, so if you haven't experienced it yet - or want one last look before it's gone, time is running out! All pieces remain available for purchase through the final day.
Sticker Pop Event!
We're closing out April with something fun, creative, and totally unique! Saturday, April 25th from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, we're hosting a Sticker Pop Event at Tenn Street!
Whether you're a dedicated sticker collector, an artist who appreciates small-format art, or just someone who thinks their laptop/water bottle/journal could use a personality upgrade, this Saturday morning is for you.

We have some exciting news for poetry lovers! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 9th from 7-9 PM when poets Brian Dickson and Kim O'Connor will bring an evening of powerful, intimate poetry to Tenn Street!
There's something about hearing poetry read aloud in a coffee shop that just works. The words hang in the air between sips of coffee, settle into the corners alongside our books, and create an atmosphere that's impossible to replicate anywhere else.
In a world of endless scrolling and 30-second content, poetry asks us to do the radical thing: slow down. Listen. Feel. Sit with language that was carefully chosen, deliberately placed, and meant to be experienced in real-time.
